I-Rock 2009 – MotherJane

It was raining and I had an umbrella, but it wasn’t June – October rather, the 4th. I was at Chitrakoot Grounds in Andheri, Mumbai, to shoot MotherJane (again), the headlining act for Independence Rock XXIV. I had written about the band in one of my earlier posts. So this time, its just the pictures and nothing else.
Nonstop rains, umbrella in one hand, my camera in the other, and my backpack on my back (where else?) – not the best of situations to shoot, and I was really worried about water entering my lens or the camera. A few drops managed to despite all the precautions, but thankfully, no calamities! I was a soaked stinking mess by the end of the show, but it was all worth it thanks to their music! :)

Hey Dilip, nice pics of the bands performance. Tho, I have to say the ones that worked most for me were the crowd shots – they seemed to add perspective to the event as well as breaking through the pattern of band shots. Also, the smoke, rain and light haze painted some amazing pics. Great work!
